I've always loved observing the moon and wondering about all the secrets it holds. It's so far away and yet so close. I adore its textures and its shine, its perpetual changes. Its textures greatly inspired me in creating these unique earrings.
Made entirely by hand in my workshop in Les Coteaux, these earrings are crafted from sterling silver, 18k yellow gold and 14k yellow gold. They are adorned with natural pink pearls and natural black spinels.
I created the lunar texture by fusing silver. This texture is therefore completely unique. The 18k gold on the textured silver circles creates a striking contrast. It gives the earrings a shine while adding a touch of color.
I wanted to explore the facets of the moon with stones and pearls; black spinels represent the dark side of the moon, the nights when we only see a tiny crescent of its face, while pink pearls represent its brightness when it is full.
The spinels are set in 14k yellow gold. The earrings fasten with silver posts and butterfly backs.
